looping super 8 film though a projector

hello.I bought a whole load of super 8 equipmenmt a while back and have finally got around to using it.
I need to make some visuals for a club nite i'm running. I've been to other club nites and have seen a short loop of super8 film continually running thru the projector, between one of the projectors reels and another off projector reel.
Wondered if anyone has had any experience with this?

I've done this with both 16 and super 8. its really cool. just run some film through the projector (with two reels to hold the film in place) and splice the strip of film to itself. leave enough slack to the film isn't pulling to hard on itself. You get a small glitch/jump when the film repeats, but this is part of the effect.
